Close Encounter

On our way back from a morning run (walking for me) around the Gaien, Libby had a close encounter with a yellow tabby. The cat must have blown up to twice his original size.

Let's take a closer look at the cat.

Incidetally, as I blog this Libby, who's been sleeping peacefully on the couch all of a sudden started to speak in her sleep. Little yelping sounds. Do ya think she's dreaming about that cat?

Gee, that's one unfriendly cat. My old dog had an encounter with a nasty kitty too and ended up with a swiped nose. After that, she never chased cats again.

That's the general reaction that Libby gets from cats in the neighborhood so she's pretty used to it. She's learned to only chase cats that run away, haha

I was just looking on the net for some pictures of Gaen Mae area- [it's where I live and I too walk my dog "Bella-Pupper-Chan" around the neighborhood, and through the cemetery. And that cat also temps our 1.5 yr old foxhound shepherd mix. It's also interesting how these cats in Tokyo have no tails.
Anyway, funny seeing the picture of your dog by the Torigin sign, incidentially back behind that area over by Growna Growna is Torigin- a really wonderful place for yakitori, and kuni-gohan [crab rice] it's like a mom & pop run Extremely Japanese diner...

No way, Leslie! What a coincidence! BTW, your Bella is a cutie. Too bad she's a girl, otherwise Libby may want to play with her.

will have to try Torigin now. I tend to overlook places in the neighborhood, which is a shame. But we do have a neighborhood Izakaya, called Teyandei. It's by Nezu museum. Have you been? Food is fabulous there.
